Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced artist wanting to sharpen your drawing skills, these sessions offer a relaxed yet focused environment for all.
There isn't any formal tuition but each week there is a focus which students may want to take part in. We take inspiration from a specific artist or style, material, composition, colours or subject matter. These will be discussed and used to inspire everyone.
We have had some unusual themes over the years including belly dancers, drawing with biros and on newspaper, continuous model movement, human and dog posing together and much more!
Every few weeks there will be long poses for the session. The model will hold 2 long poses , this is a great opportunity to dig the paints out.
During the session we generally start with some shorter poses as a warm up (2 minutes and 5 minutes) before moving on the longer poses of 10 minutes and 20 minutes. Then two 30 minute poses after the all important coffee break. All tea, coffee and of course biscuits are provided at no extra cost.
There's no need to book, just simply turn up to the session of your choice. It's best to arrive about 15 minuets early to grab a seat and sharpen your pencils. As drawing always starts on the dot of 7pm (Mondays) and 10am (Thursdays).
